An Innovative Application of Management Information System for Job Description at University with Text Analytics Technology

The necessity for the use of information technology in the Thailand university organization is extremely demanding. Therefore, this research aims (1) to develop a prototype of the information system to support the management of job descriptions for supporting staff at the University of Phayao and (2) to evaluate satisfaction with the prototype of the job description management information system for supporting staff at the University of Phayao. The research tools were (1) the prototype of the information system to support the management of job descriptions for supporting staff at the University of Phayao and (2) the questionnaire to assess the prototype of the information system to support the management of job descriptions for supporting staff at the University of Phayao. The prototyping process uses seven processes of the system development life cycle (SDLC), an established process. The research population was 18 University of Phayao employees representing each department of the University of Phayao. The study found that the developed prototype program was in the highest demand among university staff, with an average of 4.18 and an SD of 0.13. From such success, the prototype program makes sense to distribute and extend it to other universities in Thailand.
