Enhancing Student Engagement and Performance Evaluation: An Integrated Approach for Quality Learning Management System

The adoption of Learning Management Systems LMSs in educational institutions has witnessed exponential growth, driven by the challenges posed by the pandemic and the need for innovative features to enhance the teaching-learning paradigm. This research critically examines the limitations of widely used LMSs and proposes a novel LMS concept to overcome these shortcomings and improve student engagement and performance evaluation. The proposed LMS introduces essential modules such as Centralized Administration for efficient management, the Record Management Module (RMM) as the central database and the User Authentication and Distribution Module (UADM) for secure access. Innovative features include a Participation Metrics algorithm, Blended Learning, Automated Attendance, a Personalized Note-Taking System, and Auto Grading. By addressing the identified limitations and focusing on student engagement and performance evaluation, the proposed LMS aims to revolutionize the learning experience. This research contributes to the advancement of educational technology by critically assessing existing LMSs and presenting a comprehensive solution for educational institutions.
