摘要

Nowadays, there is a growing need to implement driver-drowsiness detection technologies to prevent potentially fatal accidents. To address this, a system has been developed utilizing components such as an Arduino Uno, an eye blink sensor, and a vibration motor module. The system aims to detect drowsiness in drivers and provide timely warnings. The functionality of the system relies on analyzing the driver’s average eye blink rate. Real-time data was collected and processed using a normal distribution to determine the average eye blink rate for different age groups. After careful analysis, it was determined that an average eye blink rate of 14.1400 blinks per minute would serve as the standard for the system to effectively operate across all age groups. The device incorporates a vibration motor module that emits vibration pulses to awaken the driver in the event that drowsiness is detected while driving. By leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT), the objective of this project is to develop a smart warning system for automobiles. The system aims to mitigate the consequences of drowsy driving, including potential fatalities and injuries, with the ultimate goal of preventing road accidents.
