Punctuation Marks
摘要
Symbolism has a long tradition in China, which can be traced back to the Oracle and bronze inscriptions in pre-Qin. The copying time of Dunhuang manuscripts spanned for more than 600 years, involving copiers of all kinds and various punctuation marks. In addition to the deletion mark, gouyi mark, chongwen mark, and the shengshu mark, the common punctuation marks in Dunhuang manuscripts also include sentence reading mark, level mark, inquest mark, and drawing mark which are introduced separately below.
