Research Progress and Prospects of Strategic Consulting Intelligence Support System

Relying on the experience and wisdom of the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a series of strategic consulting research achievements have been made in the field of engineering science in China. However, with the explosive growth of knowledge and the advent of the era of big data, technology represented by a new generation of artificial intelligence has become an important tool to support consulting research. Data analysis support has become an urgent demand for engineering science and technology consulting research. At the same time, the development of information technology and data environment makes it easier to obtain and analyze data, and it is possible to support the strategic decisions of academicians and experts with objective data analysis results. On this basis, the Intelligent Support System (iSS for short) for engineering science and technology strategic consulting emerged. At the same time, it has built characteristic databases for engineering technology such as future technology library, technology list library, consulting report library, etc., and provides support services for strategic consulting researchers through standardized processes and methods. Focusing on the construction goal of taking experts as the core, process as the norm, data as the support, and interaction as the means, the iSS platform has provided intelligent decision support for several strategic consulting projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and more than 100 project groups. At the same time, it provides support for the teaching of relevant courses for undergraduates, masters and international students in Tsinghua University, Nanyang Technological University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and other universities. On this basis, this research discusses the construction background, construction plan, functions and services of the intelligent support system for engineering science and technology strategic consulting in detail from four parts: the overview of the research content, the platform structure, the support process, and the summary and outlook, so as to provide process guidance and methodological tool support for readers to use the iSS platform.
