Prognostics and Health Management for Cyber-Physical System Resilience: A Security and Reliability Perspective
摘要
This chapter explores the crucial role of Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) in strengthening the resilience of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs), with a focus on reliability and security. It introduces a holistic approach that seamlessly integrates security and reliability measures, positioning PHM as the backbone bridging these domains. The introduction of a generic resilience performance curve, which quantifies resilience considering both reliability and security, serves as a foundation to the discussion. Consequently, the chapter examines a spectrum of strategies, as proposed by existing literature, designed to enhance CPS resilience. These strategies encompass the optimization of recovery sequences, safeguarding critical nodes, and refining coupling patterns within CPSs. Finally, the chapter outlines future research directions that will empower CPSs to operate in the complexity of modern systems, ensuring their continued functionality and security.
