Agriculture, a primary food source, is highly impacted by biotic and abiotic stress because they affect crop output, soil fertility, and health. It is necessary to use an economical and environmentally benign strategy to decrease detrimental effects on plants since they may have considerable financial ramifications. Several biotic agents can cause stress, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, weeds, insects, and nematodes. These causes tend to raise reactive oxygen species, which affects how well plants operate physiologically and molecularly and decreases agricultural output. Several agrochemicals, including fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides, are employed to maintain and enhance the health of plants; nevertheless, these chemical additives have detrimental effects on human health. Plants, as sedentary, have to develop and create relationships with endophytes that are highly cooperative and congenial for diverse environments. It is becoming more popular to utilize beneficial plant endophytes to resist biotic and abiotic stressors as they offer diversified selection options and alleviation. It is crucial to establish the effects of these interactions on plant fitness by experimental validation. This chapter provides insight into how interactions between plants, their symbionts, and their microbiota enable endophytes to assist plants in coping with biotic and abiotic stressors. In order to comprehend plant-microbe interactions at the system level, research efforts must be concentrated on this crucial area.
