The Instrumentation Amplifier

This chapter introduces the instrumentation amplifier. This is perhaps the most important of all amplifiers in electrical measurement systems. The common mode rejection ratio is redefined and its relationship to the signal-to-noise ratio is emphasized. Instrumentation amplifiers are implemented with op amps, and the most common implementation circuits are illustrated.
