Foreign Policy Decision Making

The chapter enriches the theoretical literature on foreign policy decision making and contributes to the theoretical debates about the strengths and limitations of foreign policy analysis. The chapter uses Graham Allison’s Rational Actor, Organisational Process, and Bureaucratic Politics model to investigate how the Indonesian government behaved and why it made the decision it did in 2004.
