Cost Management Model in the Subway and Open Pit Mines: A Systematic Review

This study conducted a qualitative analysis of 40 articles related to the mining industry to identify recurring themes and gain an overview of proposed solutions. Various topics were addressed, including the optimization of mining activities, resource management, supervision and control of operations, time control, equipment selection, continuous training and design, and planning of mining operations. In the optimization of mining works, methodologies were proposed to maximize productivity and reduce costs in underground and open-pit operations. Resource management focused on transportation, maintenance, and cost control to increase efficiency. The supervision and control of operations proposed improvements in decision-making, planning and quality and safety management systems. Time control sought to optimize operations and reduce unproductive times. The choice of equipment considered productivity and profitability, while continuous training highlighted the importance of technical, safety, and environmental training. The design and planning addressed the scheduling sequence, drilling and blasting grids, and production optimization. These findings offer valuable insights and highlight the need for holistic approaches and multifaceted solutions to meet the challenges in this ever-evolving industry. The study highlights the importance of innovation, efficient resource management, and continuous improvement as key elements for success in the mining industry.
