摘要

Stroke is a significant public health concern and one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide [1]. The management of acute stroke requires a multidisciplinary approach, and patients often require specialized care in the intensive care unit (ICU). ICU management of stroke patients is crucial for the prevention and management of complications such as cerebral edema, hemorrhagic transformation, and increased intracranial pressure (ICP). The optimal management of stroke patients in the ICU involves a careful balance between aggressive management of complications and minimizing the risk of further injury. This chapter will provide an overview of the current guidelines and best practices for the management of stroke patients in the ICU, including the recognition and treatment of complications and the use of advanced monitoring and treatment options.
