Electromagnetic Actuator with Magnetic Gear in Vehicle Suspension for Vibration Suppression in Alternate Motion

摘要

Electromagnetic actuator (EA) for vehicle vibration suppression is a novel damping component compared with the traditional hydraulic damper. Electromagnetic actuator with mechanical transmission has great inertia and vibration in the alternate motion according to the movement of vehicle suspension. It causes the fault of mechanical transmission when the inertia force exceeds the stress limitation of mechanical gear. An electromagnetic actuator with magnetic gear as a substitution of mechanical transmission is proposed. The magnetic gear works as velocity lift for the effectiveness of generating electricity of permanent motor, which performs an electromagnetic damper for the vehicle suspension. EA’s novel structure is described in 3D model. Electromagnetic simulation is done for the EA. A quarter model for Vehicle model with EA is created for the further study. The simulation evaluation of EA embed in the vehicle suspension is effective for the suppression of vibration. The inner electromagnetic field of EA needs further study for the suitable design of EA.
