Research on Motor-Mechanism Coupling Dynamics Model and Control of Tank Gun Stabilization System

Tank gun stabilization systems are the automatic control system that drives and stabilizes the tank gun. It has a significant effect in improving the tank combat capability and exerting its firepower. Firstly, mathematical model of a drive motor is built in this paper, followed by the overall simulation of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control system. After that, the stable state characteristics as well as the dynamic characteristics of PMSM are analyzed. Next, combined with the established 2 DOF (two degree of freedom) dynamic model of tank gun stabilization system, a motor-mechanism coupled dynamics model of tank gun stabilization system is established. Subsequently, a coupled dynamics model is controlled by the computed torque control algorithm. Finally, it is shown in the simulation results that the tank gun stabilization system is well controlled.
