Research on Static and Dynamic Behavior of a Radial Tire Under Different Load Magnitude

Tires are indispensable components of diverse vehicles. The service life of tires is highly dependent on its static stress distribution and the dynamic vibration characteristics. In this paper, the static and dynamic behavior of a radial tire under different load magnitude is investigated. The weak locations are detected and the vibration modes are extracted, providing a foundation for the structural design of tires. The load magnitude substantially affects the stress distribution while makes little difference in the vibration characteristics. The invariance of vibration characteristics may facilitate the life prediction in different load conditions. This work provides insights into the static and dynamic behavior of a radial tire, which can lead to more significant research.
