Research on Modeling and Simulation of Opening and Limiting Mechanism Based on Motion and CATIA

According to need of project development, aiming at the requirement of overspeed protection during the gravity lowering process of the passenger door in the belly of a certain type of aircraft, an opening and limiting mechanism is designed to limit the falling speed of the boarding door and integrated on the lifting actuator. In the process of design and performance analysis of the opening and limiting mechanism, the traditional design method has many problems such as complicated calculation process, low calculation accuracy and high cost of verification test. In this paper, CATIA software and LMS Virtual.Lab software are used to establish a multi-body dynamic simulation analysis model of the opening and limiting mechanism. The dynamics of the free fall of the boarding door with and without the opening and limiting mechanism is analyzed in the Motion software, and the influence of different design parameters of the product on the falling time of the boarding door is analyzed. The optimal structural parameters are determined, and the simulation results show that the designed opening and limiting mechanism can provide continuous and stable damping force and limit the opening time of the door to 2.6 s, which verifies the feasibility of the working principle of the product and provides theoretical support for the subsequent product output and test.
