Numerical Simulation Research on Cutting Forming Process of Energetic Materials

In order to study the quality and thermal safety of energetic materials in the cutting forming process, the dynamic model and equation of a type of energetic material were established by using thermodynamic couple method, and the finite element simulation and analysis were performed. The simulation results show that the temperature concentration of the tool surface were distributed in the contact area between the cutting tool and energetic material during the cutting forming process. With the increase of cutting times, the temperature of the tool surface gradually rose. After two times of cutting, the tool surface temperature reaches 25.500 °C. The change conforms to the law, indicating a theoretical criterion for evaluating the thermal safety of energetic material cutting process.
