Launching Charge Extrusion Crushing Dynamics Simulation Software

The critical factor contributing to the propellant chamber blast is the collision and extrusion of propellant, which causes a significant number of propellant particles to break up. The dynamic simulation of extrusion and crushing during propellant launching in the chamber is critical to solving this significant challenge. In this research, a simulation software for the extrusion and crushing dynamics of propellant is constructed using the discrete element method. The software can create an extrusion and crushing dynamics model of propellant based on the extrusion and crushing dynamics of propellant studied by users by inputting and defining boundary conditions such as propellant geometry and size, number of pellets, and cartridge size. The crushing process of the propellant under external load can then be simulated and animated by inputting parameters such as the mechanical properties of the propellant and the time history of external load, as well as setting simulation control parameters such as calculation time step and discrete radius, and the calculated results can be output in the form of data and animation.
