Algorithm and Software Implementation of Track Chain Automatic Assembly for Tracked Vehicle

With the high-speed improvement of computer processing speed and the continuous development of multibody dynamics commercial software, these softwires has been widely used in the analysis and design of high speed tracked vehicle dynamics. Focusing on the complex modelling of the track subsystem, this paper develops an automated algorithm for assembling the track chain. The contact parameters between the track and the ground and wheels can also be defined easily. Compared with the conventional method of adding track plates and track pins singly using generic modules, this approach greatly improves the modeling speed of the tracked vehicle running system. Finally, the reliability of this method is verified by the simulation of an actual tracked vehicle.
