Research on Seismic Shaking Table Test Based on Large LNG Storage Tank

In order to study the dynamic characteristics and the overall seismic performance of the storage tank under earthquake, the LNG storage tank structure test model was built according to 1:14 scale model with the background of 160,000 m3LNG storage tank. Two artificial seismic waves were synthesized from El Centro wave (El), the measured seismic waves in Wenchuan earthquake, Shifang Earthquake and Bajiao Town (SFBJ), and the site-specific seismic response spectrum. The acceleration amplification factor, relative displacement and strain of LNG storage tank under different spectrum and amplitude accelerations are analyzed, and the seismic performance of LNG storage tank model under different seismic waves is obtained. The research results are of great significance to the study of dynamic characteristics and overall seismic performance of LNG storage tanks, and provide a test basis for the development of volumes of more than 300,000 m2.
