Design of Axial Force Sensor Based on Equal Strength Beam

Axial force is an important indicator affecting the gas turbine's reliability. This work proposes a novelty annular force sensor based on an equal-strength beam for the axial force of bearing. The finite element method verifies that the sensor elastomer has a considerable strain-flat length and validates the sensor's measurement range. The static performance of the sensor is also studied, and the sensor has excellent linearity in the range of 0–3.5 t.
