Energy Harvesting Technologies for Wireless Sensor Networks

Technologies for energy harvesting (EH) have the potential to develop wireless sensor networks (WSN) that can sustain themselves and integrate with storage systems to increase their lifespan and meet the need for energy. These technologies are expected to be a major innovation in the industrial sector. While there are various energy harvesting techniques for low-power applications depending on the environment, energy conversion requirements, and physical form, selecting an appropriate energy harvesting technique for a specific WSN application might be difficult due to the reliance on that application. The most current advancements in energy harvesting techniques for generating energy for wireless sensor networks have been reviewed in this study.
