Vitiligo Detection Using Machine Learning Algorithms

Vitiligo is the most widely recognized skin illness on the planet. According to World Health Organization (WHO), the number of individuals experiencing Vitiligo is increasing by time, and vitiligo is becoming a widespread issue. In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning-based architecture for vitiligo detection. It is capable of evaluating and classifying vitiligo images with high accuracy and identify whether the image contains the skin with vitiligo or not. We utilized pre-trained deep learning models here, namely Inception v3, VGG19 and VGG16. Our proposed approach has outperformed the state-of-the-art algorithms with an accuracy of 96.5%.
