An Overview of Two-Dimensional Materials and Their Applications in Dentistry
摘要
Due to their multitudinous properties, including physiochemical, antibacterial, mechanical, and stem cell differentiating and bone regenerative properties, research on the applications of two-dimensional (2D) materials in dentistry has recently garnered increased attention. Although their functionality has been extensively studied in a variety of medical applications, the biocompatibility of 2D materials in dentistry has received scant attention. In addition, the buccal environment differs significantly from that of the body, which must be taken into account when evaluating biocompatibility requirements for dental applications. This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of the 2D material properties and their applications in various dental disciplines, as well as a discussion of their future perspectives that will guide future research.
