Improving Urban Industry Through Cultural Landscape Analysis Framework: A Size Study of the Riverside of Ha Thanh-Quy Nhon City-Central-Vietnam

Urban identity is a combination of relationships formed from many attributes of tangible elements (terrain, climate, landscape) and intangible elements (tradition, custom, culture, society) that create the unique characteristics of the city. Along with the trend of global integration and urbanization, the current Vietnamese urban architecture, especially the traditional urban spaces, is being gradually lost because of the influences of new architecture imported from the other countries. In terms of management, the choice of development and preservation of identity is always a difficult problem when taking into account the economic and social development of the city. It is necessary to include the goal of harmonious development of urban identity in the planning and design process. Through synthesizing and surveying local cultural values that have been evaluated and analyzed to distill some outstanding tangible and intangible values, and at the same time recreate urban public spaces to regenerate landscape at Ha Thanh river, in Dieu Tri area-Quy Nhon city-Central region-Vietnam.
