The study explores how dreams become hell for illegal Bangladeshi migrants in Europe after experiencing a variety of challenges and struggles. The study used an interpretative phenomenological approach (IPA) and conducted interviews with 20 illegal migrants. The researchers used a thematic approach to code and analyze the data, combining an integrated data-driven inductive approach with a deductive approach. The Granheim model and Nvivo 14 software facilitated simultaneous processing and coding in the data analysis phase. Five central themes were identified in the study: human trafficking and brokering, social exclusion and discrimination-racism, deportation and imprisonment, identity crises and feelings of hopelessness, and the struggle to survive. Policy makers and stakeholders can use the findings of this study to develop more effective strategies to meet the needs of undocumented migrants and protect their rights. Furthermore, the findings contribute to a broader discussion on social justice, migration dynamics, and the prevention of exploitation, which ultimately aims to promote a more compassionate and just society for all.
