Bond Stress-Slip Relationship Between BFRP Sheets and Concrete Under Dynamic Loading

  • Dejian Shen

摘要

Reinforced concrete structures that are strengthened with FRP sheets frequently suffer dynamic loadings. The success of this strengthening method depends on the effectiveness of the bond behavior between the FRP sheet and concrete. In this chapter, results showed that: (1) the dynamic effective bond length decreased with the increase of strain rate, and increased with the increase of initial static loading proportion; (2) the dynamic maximum bond stress and dynamic ultimate load between BFRP sheets and concrete increased as the strain rate increased; (3) the dynamic maximum bond stress and dynamic ultimate load between BFRP sheets and concrete decreased with the increase of the initial static loading proportion; and (4) the models for the dynamic ultimate load, bond stress, slip, effective bond length, and the bond stress-slip relationship between BFRP sheets and concrete were proposed in consideration of the strain rate or initial static loading.
