A Novel Pseudorandom Number Generator Based on the Conservative Chaotic System with Non-smooth Nonlinearities
摘要
Conservative chaos plays a special role in the modern field of engineering sciences including digital communications and cryptography. In this paper, we propose a novel pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) which is based on a relatively simple oscillatory system consisting of non-smooth nonlinearities and exhibiting chaotic dynamics. Main properties of this PRNG are discussed and analyzed. Numerical results show that the proposed generator has a good performance and successfully passes the standard NIST test for randomness (within the NIST Statistical Test Suite). A comparison of the proposed PRNG to various chaotic-based PRNGs is also presented. The obtained results for the security claim and speed characteristics make it possible to consider this PRNG as a promising source of pseudorandom numbers in the field of chaotic-based digital communications and cryptography.
