摘要

Climate change leads to take modifications of both biotic and abiotic constituents. There is evidence that some species have genetic variation that can respond to such selection, such as important traits that influence distribution and abundance. In this chapter we have revise the literature information about an impact of the elevated CO2, and temperature or heat stress on seeds’s physiology, quality traits and yield determining factors. The physiological responses of the crops indicate that they will grow more quickly during the following few years, with minor alterations to their development like fruiting and flowering depending on the species. Moreover, the high temperature may offset the positive effect of elevated CO2 on crop yield attributes or elevated CO2 would compensates for the negative effects of high temperature. It is pointed out that studies related to changes in seed yields and their attributes due to consequence of global climate changes, need priority areas to further research as the they will highly associate with food security.
