Synthesis of Nanofiber Catalyst in AI-Based Electrospinning Process for Sustainable Biodiesel Production

Polymer-mixed-catalysts nanofibers are synthesized by electrospinning. In the presence of high voltage, the electrified polymer-catalyst mixture is drawn by electric potential from needle tip toward conductive collector. The blockage of needle tip might appear when various electrospinning parameters are varied. Application of AI camera is proposed to monitor the blockage phenomenon of the needle tip. One camera is placed on top of the needle tip inside the electrospinning unit, and the other one is placed outside the transparent machine window. AI cameras continuous remote monitoring and automatic detection of jet formation abnormalities enables faster and more accurate treatment of the blockage of needle tip. In return, a stable ejection of polymer-catalyst mixture will be formed, resulting in a more efficient nanofiber synthesis for sustainable biodiesel production.
