Single Image Dehazing Using DCP with Varying Scattering Constant
摘要
The occurrence of fog or haze in the atmosphere during rainy seasons or because of high pollution has a significant impact on visibility and information loss. This is because when light strikes fog or haze particles present in the atmosphere, it scatters in various directions, impairing visibility. Image dehazing techniques attempt to restore the original situation. Common dehazing algorithms, such as dark channel prior, perform well, but because they dehaze the entire image rather than individual pixels, there is a risk of overdehazing (oversaturating) the pixels. So, in this research, we offer a method by which we can alleviate the issue of over-contrasting to a certain amount by altering the scattering constant values, increasing the color restoration. Quantitative analyses demonstrate the parity of our approach with other algorithms.
