Development of Rapidly Quenched Amorphous-Nanostructured Materials for Sensor Applications
摘要
The rapidly quenched soft magnetic amorphous-nanostructured materials have been used according to their properties targeted toward their potential applications. In rapid solidification process (RSP), different techniques, such as melt spinning, in-water quenching for the production of soft magnetic materials in the form of ribbons/foils, and microwires, have been discussed. The FeSiB-based soft magnetic alloy has been prepared in the form of amorphous ribbon and used as a sensing element in magnetostrictive-sensor (MsS) device for the generation and detection of ultrasonic guided wave for pipeline inspection. CoFe-based prepared microwires show interesting giant magneto-impedance (GMI) behavior.
