Supplementary Materials and Uniform Interpretation of CISG

Interpretation of the law, international conventions, in particular, is a complicated task. Appropriate approaches should be taken. Meanwhile, legal text, legislative history and other legislative materials, precedents and authorised works should be carefully examined. These supplementary materials are helpful for interpreters to define the correct meaning of legal texts, to identify the true intent of legislators, and to testify to the result reached by interpreters.
