UAV-Enabled Systems for Industry 4.0: Applications and Challenges

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), sometimes known as drones, are being put to more and more excellent use across various business sectors, notably in the context of Industry 4.0. UAVs provide several advantages, including an increase in efficiency, a reduction in costs, and a safety improvement. However, several challenges come with their implementation, such as safety and security, communication and navigation, energy management, regulatory compliance, integration with existing systems, scalability and sustainability, privacy concerns, and social and ethical issues. All of these challenges must be overcome before they can be successfully implemented. This review article presents a general overview of the uses and advantages of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Industry 4.0 and the difficulties connected with putting them into action. This article also addresses possible solutions to these difficulties and gives insights into the future of UAV-enabled systems in the Industry 4.0 ecosystem.
