Rexobot-Simplifying Rescue Operations Using Arduino

Natural calamities, disasters, and other emergencies are something that are inevitable and no living species can completely reverse the effect of it. They are an indication to show how our own actions can take us down. These catastrophes cause a great deal of damage and lead to the loss of precious lives. One major reason for post-apocalyptic deaths is the inefficient rescue management system. A major challenge faced by the rescue teams is the lack of accessibility to a few areas due to ineffectual surveillance which results in the deaths of many as they are never located. This paper thus presents an ingenious solution, Rexobot which will simplify human rescue operations and help to detect human bodies trapped under debris and reach places where a rescue team can’t. Additionally, it can also be useful in fire emergencies to locate humans stuck in the fire and smoke. It will make the process economical, and we can send multiple of them to multiple locations. We make use to technologies like Arduino, passive infrared (PIR) sensors to achieve our end goal and collect data using Bluetooth module which hence increases the efficiency of our rescue system.
