摘要

The signal losses start very high in moving vehicle above 10 GHz frequency range. To minimize the losses at high frequency, SIW techniques are preferred over the conventional waveguides. In this research article, a SIW-based H-plane horn radiating element is presented for high gain, large wideband, high mobility and to extend the capacity for satisfying the demands of the next generation technologies specially for the moving vehicles like airplanes, high-speed trains, and underground moving vehicles. The proposed radiating element is designed on two distinguished substrates Rogers RT5880 and Rogers RO3003 having a total dimension of 27.86 \(\times \) 34.72 mm \(^2\) . The presented radiator exhibits 26.68–35.53 GHz operating frequency range with 8.85 GHz wide bandwidth. The proposed radiator using SIW technology is able to cover radiation efficiency of 96.80–98.04 \(\%\) , and gain of 6.9–9.2 dBi for mmW 5G wireless requirements.
