Curious Case of Elena Ferrante

This article seeks to explore the Elena Ferrante phenomenon for the complex nature of its cultural politics with regard to the populist, canonical, and the liminal. Through the reading of her non-fiction, what follows will attempt to respond to the questions of literary elitisms and populism through an analysis of self-erasure, aspiring in the main, to comment on the problematic of the populist itself.
