Youth is the agential generational category of populism. This short entry examines the nature of majoritarian youth cultureYouth culture in India at the time of authoritarian populism. This entry will delve into the neo-nationalistic discourses emerging in the country around the youth culture Youth culturephenomenon. Moreover, it will highlight how technology and new media spaces are being creatively used for the populist mobilization. The weaponization of youth for a larger cause and the integration of different social groups, who are separated by caste, religion, and gender in the “one-nation” theory, are the new political tools of the new populist movement in India.
