摘要

The global spread of COVID-19 disease has shaken the world. India, too, is going through a difficult period. Equitable access to medical care to combat the pandemic has become a challenge for humanity. Policymakers and lawmakers in a democratic country like India have a vital role to play during this stressful period because their decisions can determine the fate of millions. The anti-corona vaccine appears to be an effective tool for infection resistance. However, when it comes to combating the deadly disease, India’s politicians are not speaking in unison. Skepticism, negativity, boasting, frustration, apprehensions, and cynicism among the political class are only adding to the misery. The purpose of this article was to investigate how politicians perceived the importance of immunizations, the scientific aspects of vaccines, and how they attempted to educate the public in this regard using the media.
