New Populism, Technology, and World of Work
摘要
The purpose of this entry is to describe the interactive relationship between populism and technology and how this interaction in turn impacts the world of work through the modern historical processes (Fig. 1). As the modes of work and reward systems in work change, people who feel left out of these massive socio-technological changes (e.g., job losses, new education and training requirements, redefinition of work roles) may respond through populist demands and expectations. The joint interactions between populism and technology on the world of work are examined. Lessons and implications are summarized.
