Building Inclusive Smart City: Conceptualization and Measurement in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
摘要
The chapter aims to analyze how the city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, can deal with the idea of an inclusive city by trying to develop a smart city that also deals with inclusiveness. An inclusive city requires several things, such as participatory institutions, inclusiveness of mobilization through new digital urban technologies, and fairness in economic competition. The analysis applies the citizen’s perspective through social media of inclusive and participatory development for the implementation of smart cities. The analysis of data by considering social media and collected empirical data through a combination of complementary official documents, agendas, and interactive official social media of government institutions. This was implied to the practices and mechanisms for smart city communication through social media and digital participation, which contribute to the promotion of smart city implementation. Also, social media actively build communication through various social media platforms, which established between the government and the public of the widest possible access to public information, which also deals with inclusiveness.
