The Impact of Leaders’ Emotional Intelligence on the Psychological Empowerment of Municipal Affairs Staff in the Kingdom of Bahrain
摘要
This paper aims to examine the relationship between leaders’ emotional intelligence and the psychological empowerment of municipal affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The study used a cross-sectional research design and found that there is a direct relationship between leaders’ emotional intelligence and psychological empowerment. However, within the dimension of leaders’ emotional intelligence, self-awareness (H1) and social awareness (H2) were statically accepted, while self-management (H3) and relationship management (H4) were statically rejected. Municipal affairs must develop their leaders’ emotional intelligence competencies to enhance their employees’ psychological empowerment.
