Introduction: Continuity in Tradition and Reconstruction of the Past: An Analysis of Contemporary Middle East

When history repeats itself, it comes as a surprise for people lacking the historical knowledge and compass, but certainly illuminating for those who do not only draw lessons from historical reconstruction, but uses the latter for the understanding of the present. Since the formal establishment of the state of Israel in May 1948, Arab-Israel acrimonies and conflicts have grown beyond the region, its internationalization and multifaceted complexions, and have marked the conflict as one among the protracted and intractable modern conflicts.
