The “er-snake” image of gods or giants, without any sound explanation from the ancient annotators, is mentioned many times in Classic of Mountains and Seas (山海经). The archaeological discovery of prehistoric jade snake earrings and jade jue, as the fourth-dimension evidences, has become a key to unravel this mystery.
