Pathophysiology of PCOS
摘要
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is prevalent among reproductive-age women and exerts lifelong health effects. Its pathophysiology is complex and influenced by the interplay of reproductive dysfunction and metabolic disorders. Hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance mutually exacerbate during PCOS development, which is further influenced by hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis dysfunction. This chapter reviews the pathophysiology of PCOs.
