Stability Theory
摘要
Stability of solutions is an important qualitative property in linear as well as nonlinear systems. The objective of this chapter is to introduce various methods for analyzing stability of a system. In fact, stability of a system plays a crucial role in the dynamicsDynamics. In the context of differential equations rigorous mathematical definitions are often too restrictive in analyzing the stability of solutions. We begin with the stability analysis of linear systems. The normal form analysis for stable, unstable and center manifolds, and the center manifold reduction are discussed.
