Decisions regarding CCICED research work have been influenced by both demand- and supply-side considerations. This has never been an easy task for several reasons, including the four that follow. First, it has been vital to stay in tune with major shifts on the part of China’s leaders and the changing nature of China’s development needs and external drivers.
