Progress of Foreign Research on Regional Development
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of the progress in regional development research both domestically and internationally. Regional development issues are broad and profound socio-economic problems, and they are important subjects of study in economics, regional science, and geography. Research on regional development has a long history, and international progress in this field includes topics such as international trade and interregional division of labor, location theory, regional policies, industrial structure, spatial structure, macro-regional development and economic growth mechanisms, new theories on national competitive advantage research, and two methodological approaches to regional development research.
