摘要

The agro-business produces a lot of trash that is used in a variety of industries, including the textile industry, composting, and energy production. There is a need for research into the depth of agro-industrial waste usage and recycling procedures to meet the demands of the current generation without endangering future generations. Biochar-based catalysts have been developed to improve the economics and sustainability of biorefineries, but there are still issues that obstruct their industrial applications, such as impurities in charcoal feedstock and issues with catalyst repeatability and recyclability. Similarly, metal, metal oxide, or metal sulfide-containing solid catalysts used to refine crude oil into clean fuels and other useful products eventually decompose into solid trash. This waste is largely made up of the used catalysts discharged from hydroprocessing units in refineries. Spent catalyst environmental problems can be addressed through regeneration, reuse, metal recovery, etc. Heterogeneous base catalysts made from trash have been studied for their high catalytic activity and huge availability.
