Computer Aided System Design for Handwriting Identification Based on Imaging

摘要

Handwriting identification is a biometric identification technology that relies on the biological characteristics of a writer. It is widely acknowledged that a person's strength, personality, and physique are important reference indicators for handwriting analysis. In Chinese handwriting, the graphic deconstruction of character phrases or groups can better reflect the characteristics of writing than the graphic structure of a single character. By linking each feature point, the linear difference in Chinese strokes can be transformed into the difference in geometric figures. Therefore, converting this information into an image design computer aided system for offline detection can significantly improve work efficiency and reduce the work pressure of the actual combat department. In this paper, we propose a method for extracting the characteristic value of an image after the structural analysis of the word group. The Euclidean distance difference and the angle difference of each handwriting angle was calculated by using the median filtering and OTSU threshold algorithm. Experimental results indicate that the Euclidean distance difference of the handwriting of the same writer is generally below 0.2, and the angle difference of the handwriting angle is below 0.05. The proposed system is simple in operation, short in time consumption, and high in accuracy. It provides a powerful auxiliary tool for handwriting identification. Furthermore, the algorithm design provides a new idea for intelligent offline handwriting identification.
