Monte Carlo Modeling
摘要
An important area of the Monte Carlo method is the particle transport with multiplication: electrons with energies above the ionization potential, neutrons in a multiplying medium, the development of electromagnetic cascades, extensive air showers, etc. The mathematical expectation of the readings of a detector that registers this process can usually be expressed in terms of a differential flow that satisfies the Boltzmann kinetic equation, and the Monte Carlo method itself can be considered as a numerical method for solving this equation, which has a characteristic statistical error.
